This month we had the chance to catch up talented interior designer and Office Suites Club member Mahy Hussein. Mahy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to clients at Monde Interiors. Her practice aims to bring a unique blend of luxury and comfort to our clients’ homes through the harmony of rich materials and curated sets of furniture and art. The company is based in Dublin however, thanks to her exclusive client portfolio across multiple European and Middle Eastern markets MONDE Interiors caters to clients globally.
So tell us about yourself and what led you to set up in business ?
I graduated with a B.F.A. in Interior Design from the American University in Dubai, where I grew up. I started my journey in design right out of school, working with F&B outlets and hospitality firms before diving into the world of high-end private residentials. I’ve worked at a boutique consultancy for several years before moving to Dublin with my husband a little over year ago. Working in Dublin over the past year, I noticed the growing interest and demand for high-end interiors in both the residential and commercial sectors in Ireland, which led me to fulfill my long term goal of starting MONDE Interiors.
What are the types of services that you you provide and what problems that you solve for your customers?
We provide high-end interior design along with quality in-house 3D visualizations services. We also offer creator’s support for bespoke items and curated furniture selections packs.
Do you have any advice for Entrepreneurs who are starting out ?
Before starting out, pick up a couple of books around starting a business in your field. It helped me immensely to understand what is required and how to prioritize all the start-up tasks.

My favorite place in Dublin is a tapas bar called The Port House Pinxto. It’s the perfect setting for a date night or a night out with friends- lovely ambiance and great food.
