Member Spotlight – Aaron Chalke, Foe

We recently caught up with Aaron Chalke who tells us about his media and marketing company, Foe. We learn how Aarons’ media skills will bring your product or service to life in a truly unique way.

So tell us about yourself and what led you to set up in business ?

In May 2017, I set up Foe with one main ambition – to be the last place I want to work. Foe is an IDEATION, PRODUCTION and SOCIAL CONTENT partner that specialises in solving marketing and media activation briefs. Coming from both media buying and production backgrounds, setting up Foe helped bring these skills to client briefs and projects.

What are the types of services that you you provide and what problems that you solve for your customers?

Our services revolve around marketing and advertising solutions, in particular ideation, production and social. Our ideation service fits in at the point of briefing; when you have a product or service to launch/promote, Foe provides the activation concept that will bring it to life in a unique yet innovative way.

Our production and social content facilities bring the above concepts to life. Alternatively, Foe can become your personalised production team to make your vision a reality across any media platform – Social, TV, Cinema, Audio, Digital, Print and OOH.

Do you have any advice for Entrepreneurs who are starting out ?

There are so many great pieces of advice out there for entrepreneurs, but everyone’s journey is different. Advice and lessons that help me (continually!) are; (1) Trust your gut, even if that means having to make the hard choice. (2) Be straight with people and take ownership – you can still learn from failures if you are upfront and own them (3) Place your team’s physical and mental health first – without your health, you’ve nothing. Giving room for this as a priority has amazing effects – it enables more productivity while adding perspective to enjoy life outside the working day.

Share your hidden gem about Dublin

Dublin is great for bites to eat, both casual and formal dining. However, it is hard to beat spending a Saturday afternoon with a good book or newspaper, in a small corner of a quiet bar like Neary’s or The Library Bar. A slice of heaven on earth.

Anything else you’d like to share?

We love working with all kinds of brands and companies – large and small. Our real passion is crafting creative ideas that will work hard for our clients’ business. If you have a brief needs answering, get in touch!

How can our audience get in touch with you?

All of us at Foe love chatting about advertising and marketing, so if anyone wants to get in touch, you can do so through our website www.workwithfoe.ie, where you can also see some of the brands and projects we’ve recently been working on!
